Título: Calendário Inclusivo e Ecológico Digital
Autor(es): VILHENA, Maria de Jesus Moraes
Abstract: Digital Inclusive and Ecological Calendar — Version 3.2 | 2026
Built upon a vision of inclusion, accessibility, and diversity, with the aim of expanding opportunities for participation and learning for people with disabilities.
The Digital Inclusive and Ecological Calendar — Version 3.2 | 2026 arrives with new features while upholding the commitment that has defined it since its very first editions: to serve as an innovative, accessible, and transformative educational resource designed to value diversity, promote inclusion, and contribute to a more democratic education.
More than just a calendar, this edition represents an initiative for learning, raising awareness, and fostering social participation.
What will you find in the Calendar?
Traditional commemorative dates
Dates that are part of the social and cultural calendar, allowing for the exploration of various themes throughout the year.
Dates related to inclusion and accessibility
Dates that highlight people with disabilities, the fight for rights, accessibility, diversity, and the building of a more inclusive society.
A special tribute
This edition also features a symbolic tribute to the people with disabilities who are part of my personal journey and who, in various ways, have contributed to my path toward a more inclusive society.
The tribute is presented in a representative way during each person's birth month, celebrating not only their individual stories but also all people with disabilities who inspire, teach, fight, and help transform the world every day.
Each tribute carries a sense of gratitude and represents many other stories that may not be explicitly named in the calendar but are nonetheless part of this journey.
Much more than a calendar
The Digital Inclusive and Ecological Calendar is also a tribute to the people who inspired this journey and to the experiences that contributed to its creation.
Each page represents learning, gratitude, inclusion, diversity, hope, and a commitment to a more accessible future. This calendar is part of the READDIS Project—an Inclusive Digital Educational Open Resource—developed in partnership with the *Vem Aprender Incluir* (Come Learn and Include) and *Luz na Inclusão* (Light on Inclusion) projects, joining forces to expand educational possibilities and promote accessibility.
Key Features of Version 3.2 — 2026
🔸 An innovative, exclusive, and free resource.
🔸 An inclusive and accessible design, tailored to diverse audiences and needs.
🔸 A pedagogical tool that supports learning, participation, autonomy, and collaboration across various educational settings.
🔸 Content organized using multiple forms of representation—reflecting the diverse communication styles of people with disabilities—to broaden access to information.
A project in continuous development, evolving through research, evaluations, experiences, and user contributions. Sustainability and social responsibility
The calendar was also created with environmental concerns in mind.
Developed primarily in a digital format, it helps reduce the need for printing and encourages the conscious use of material resources.
This approach aligns with sustainability, social responsibility, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) under the 2030 Agenda.
In this way, inclusion and sustainability go hand in hand.
Diversity in communication and representation
A defining feature of the Inclusive and Eco-Friendly Digital Calendar is its use of various forms of information representation, thereby expanding access.
Libras (Brazilian Sign Language)
Content represented via Brazilian Sign Language, increasing accessibility for Deaf individuals.
SignWriting
A sign-writing system used to graphically represent elements of Libras, including handshapes, movements, and expressions.
Fingerspelling (Dactylology)
Representation of the alphabet and numbers using the manual spelling system, supporting communication, literacy, and learning activities in Libras. ⠿ Braille
A tactile reading and writing system that enables access to information for blind and visually impaired individuals.
Print — Portuguese
Conventional text representation in Portuguese, ensuring access to information for those who rely on visual reading and broadening content understanding for diverse audiences.
More than just dates—a movement
The 2026 Digital Inclusive and Ecological Calendar (Version 3.2) is a call to action.
An invitation to value diversity, acknowledge differences, break down barriers, promote accessibility, strengthen inclusion, and foster a growing environmental awareness.
Because every date can be an opportunity to learn.
Every piece of information can spark reflection.
Every accessible resource can open up a new possibility.

Abstract: The new edition of the Ecological Digital Inclusive Calendar - Version 3.1, which brings several new features:
- Traditional commemorative dates.
- Dates that celebrate the fight for inclusion and accessibility.
More than a practical resource, this calendar is a tribute to everyone who has marked my life and contributed to building a more inclusive world. Without them, this project wouldn't be possible. The Inclusive Digital Ecological Calendar is part of the Inclusive Digital Didactic Open Educational Resource Project - READDIS, in partnership with the "Come Learn Include and Light in Education" projects, with the aim of illuminating paths in education and promoting inclusion and accessibility in teaching. It contributes to teaching and learning by offering quick, easy and efficient access to a variety of accessible educational content.
+ Reflects the diversity of forms of communication of people with disabilities, such as people with visual impairments, hearing impairments or other specific difficulties.
+ Predictability principle: Organized and consistent structure that favours early understanding of the content, promoting safety and active participation in
learning.
Redundancy strategies: Presents knowledge in different forms, creating an inclusive and collaborative environment for everyone. Collaborates with teachers and students: Practical tools to facilitate teaching, promote student autonomy and reinforce inclusive education.
This calendar uses five writing systems, demonstrating the diversity of communication for people with disabilities:
1-Signs in Libras: for people with hearing disabilities.
2-SignWriting: for people with hearing disabilities.
3-Typing (alphabet|numbers): for people with hearing impairments.
4-Braille writing: for people with visual impairments.
5-Ink (Portuguese): for neurotypical people,
In addition, the calendar adopts sustainable practices by using digital resources, reducing the need for printed materials and promoting environmental preservation. With this approach, the Ecological Inclusive Digital Calendar 2025 strengthens the appreciation of diversity, inclusion and environmental responsibility.
