Abstract: Jatobá is a Neotropical tree that has economical, ecological and environmental importance. Several research demonstrate that this species can be extracted many substances, besides it to have potential to uses in commercial and agroforestry reforestations. Excess or deficit in water supply to plant can promote metabolic changes and consequently to modify your growth. Plants when exposed to stress response through several defense mechanisms. Tolerance to dehydration is linked to substances called by osmoregulators such as carbohydrates, proline, glycine betaine, free amino acids, which will have function to keep water by the more time possible into plant tissue Based in this information, this study haves aim to evaluate growth, eco
physiological changes, and biochemical in Jatobá young plants subjected to water deficiency and flooding. Experiment was conducted in greenhouse environment located in Instituto de Ciências Agrárias (ICA) of Universidade Federal Rural da Amazônia (UFRA), in Belém city, PA, Brasil Experiment period was between 20/09/2008 to 20/05/2009. Jatobá young plants (H. courbaril L.), with 4 months of age, propagated
via sexual, from seeds harvested in petroliferous province of Rio Urucu, operational base Geólogo “Pedro de Moura' in Urucu, Coari city, AM, distance of 650 Km, in line, of Manaus city. Seeds were harvested in November of 2008, in areas of 20 extraction field: RUCO6, RUC10, JAZ5, JAZ16, RUC 31; RUC 25; JAZ 97; JAZ 06; JAZ 16; JAZ 21; CL 10; CL 33; CL 11; CL 05; CL 04: SUC 03; SUC 02; SUC 01; LUC 29; LUC 39. After harvest, seeds were placed in paper bags hermetically closed and transported to laboratory of Fisiologia Vegetal of UFRA, Belém, PA. Plants were subjected to three water regimes (control, water deficit, and flooding), that were applied 30 days under water deprivation and flooding through a water lamina of 5 cm up soil, respectively.
Design experimental was entirely randomized with three water conditions (control, water deficit, and flooding), with 15 replicates, totalizing 45 experimental units, each experimental unit was composed by one plant per pot. In results were applied variance analysis and average compared by the Tukey test in 5% significance level. Biochemical and ecophysiological variables were investigated, which present influence on vegetative
growth of Jatobá plants. Water deficit and flooding provoke reduction in key enzyme activities related to nitrogen metabolism and changes in dehydrogenase alcohol and dehydrogenase lactate. Besides of this, water stress also changed behavior of nitrogen compounds such as amino acids, proteins, ammonium, producing osmoregulator substances as proline, glycine betaine, carbohydrates, and sucrose. Water deficit and
flooding affected plant development, being demonstrated in height, stem diameter, dry matter production Water deficit and flooding applied act in water relations, reducing significantly leaf water potential, and these are highly correlated. During period under water deficit and flooding were showed significant decreases in transpiration, and consequent increase in diffusive resistance. Also were showed significant increases in organic solute levels, in agreement with treatment severity, being proline the organic solute that presented higher sensibility to water deprivation. Jatobá young plants paralyze not your growth when cultivated with low water available in soil during initial phase of development. This species studded is few susceptible to flooding, if compared to water deficit, because without water it presented adequate osmotic adjustment process, although these results are not sufficient to testes in study of forestry specie under environment effects

Abstract: This study aimed to characterize and evaluate the morphological and morphoanatomic of Pilocarpus microphyllus hits Stapf ex-Wardleworth Rutaceae, Ananas comosus var. erectifolius (L. B. Smith) Coppens & F. Leal-Bromeliacea and Psychotria ipecacuanha (Brotero) Stokes-Rubiaceae, stored in Active Germplasm Bank of medicinal plants at Embrapa Amazônia Oriental, in Belém, PA. For both were chosen at random. 10
accessions of each species, being characterized for 3-9 qualitative characters and evaluated to 3-4 quantitative traits. For qualitative characters were obtained the occurrence percentages, while quantitative were analyzed by univariate and multivariate analyzes, the latter obtained by standardized mean Euclidean distance. The Morphology of the three species was performed by the leaf or lamina and in leaflet, and the presence of polymorphic crystals. Was diagnosed during the study, the characters can subsidize the initial drafting of
a list of descriptors or morphological characters, which can be used in the characterization and evaluation.

Abstract: The mechanisms of sustaining managed forests are not yet adequately addressed. And above all, if these species are not managed differently from the others, they risk extinction in the medium and long term. Ewxylophora paraensis (Huber), because of the high index oflogging, this species has suffered population reduction, being potentially susceptible to the impacts of
the exploration, its large trees are listed in the Brazilian flora species list threatened with extinction. However, the spatial structure of its natural populations and the effects of management on this species are unknown. Therefore, the objective of the study was to characterize and quantify the spatial distribution of Euwxylophora paraensis in order to establish conservation and preservation strategies in the Eastern Amazon. The study was carried out at the farm Rio Capim, Cauaxi, Sumal and Caculé Farm Management Units owned by CKBV Florestal Ltda., Belonging to the CIKEL Group. The company has six forest management units in the state of Pará certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) since 2001. To evaluate the spatial distribution of E. paraensis, geostatistical analysis was used
from the semivariogram modeling and mapping of kriging. There was spatial dependence of E. paraensis described by the spherical model, showing an aggregate distriution pattern of the species. It is observed in the kriging maps the dispersion tendency of E. paraensis in the studied areas, from a region with a higher concentration of trees and influenced by higher
altitudes to one of lower concentration with low altitudes. Euxylophora paraensis presented an aggregate distribution pattern in the studied forest possibly due to its baroque dispersion syndrome, with spatial dependence described by the spherical model and significant differences, in relation to the topographic variable, being recommended to take into account
the altitude variable to predict the most the possible occurrence of the species.

Abstract: Among the plants that have proven medicinal effects, jaborandi (Pilocarpus microphyllus Stapf) plant is considered a priority in conservation programs. Among the thirteen species occurring in Brazil, P.microphyllus is known to possess true jaborandi by higher concentrations of pilocarpine in its leaves, an imidazole alkaloid, whose main action occurs in treatment of glaucoma and therefore is the most heavily used. The study aimed to: perform phenological study accesses the Active Germplasm Bank of Jaborandi (BAG- Jaborandi), the phytochemical screening of leaves jaborandi evaluate and compare distances cuts branches to harvest leaves jaborandi. The study area for the assessment of plant material was the Active Germplasm Bank of Embrapa Amazônia Oriental Jaborandi, located in the municipality of Belém - PA. For phenological assessments, records were collected four hits (Merck grown in full sun and shade, Japanese and Bonal 4 grown in full sun) daily for a period of 24 months, corresponding to the years 2010 to 2012, five plants/ access and arranged for monthly
statement through records with respective numbers of plants, with a record of presence or absence of flowering
and fruiting phenophases. The determination of the dry weight of the samples of the accessions was performed at
the Laboratory of Agro Embrapa Eastern Amazon. In carrying out pruning the same accessions were used. The
harvest of leaves was performed manually with the aid of pruning shears, performing - it cuts branches,
respectively, 10 and 20 cm away, not to cause physical damage to plants, and also enable its regeneration. The
plants of each access, recorded and identified were evaluated every 10 days after the first pruning of the
branches, to determine the number of leaves and length of the longest sprout, shoot number, total number of
leaves per cutting and regeneration time for the second pruning. The experimental design was completely
randomized, factorial involving three experiments. The results showed that flowering occurred throughout the
year and fruiting in eleven months of the year. The phytochemical screening revealed the presence of 11 classes
of chemical constituents. Distances cutting benefited launching new branches without affecting the development
of the plant, and from 10 months to perform the pruning of the branches, the system of the unshaded responded
with greater efficiency regardless of the distance cut made. Performing consecutive pruning favored leaf
production, increasing productivity without harming the plant development.
