The book comprises eight chapters addressing giardiasis in dogs and cats, canine leishmaniasis, feline leishmaniasis, coccidiosis in poultry, bovine trypanosomiasis, feline mycoplasmosis, bovine anaplasmosis, and bovine babesiosis. For each disease, the chapters discuss the etiological agent, epidemiology, biological cycle and transmission, pathogenesis, clinical signs, diagnostic methods, treatment, and prevention and control measures. The content covers both clinically relevant diseases affecting companion animals and diseases associated with animal production, including conditions with significant sanitary and economic impacts. The approach emphasizes the importance of understanding transmission mechanisms and factors associated with disease occurrence in order to support appropriate strategies for diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and control. In this context, the e-book highlights the relevance of Veterinary Parasitology and the role of veterinarians from a One Health perspective, considering the interconnection between animal health, human health, and the environment. Autor(es): CORREA, Jean Pereira; SOUSA, Letícia Lima de; GOMES, Nilzete Ferreira Abstract: It deals with the cordel literature in the northern region which contains contents related to the Amazon, such as the customs, legends and information typical of our region. It presents a brief history of the cordel literature that came to Brazil by the Portuguese settlers, and adapted to the Brazilian context, mainly in the northeast, being also produced in the north region. The applied methodology is, in the first moment, a bibliographical research and a documentary study. Already in the second moment, a field survey was carried out, the nature of the data being qualitative. It ends by exposing the analysis of the collected data regarding the responses of the agents directly involved with this popular genre, stringers and researchers of the area, to precisely know their opinion about cordel literature in the Amazon and the importance of the dissemination of popular culture. The questionnaires were applied to the following audiences: five cordelistasparaenses and two cordel researchers. It is concluded from the analysis of the collected data that this type of literature is of great importance and its dissemination should be broad, aiming to encourage the preservation of memory, popular culture and the taste for reading. It emphasizes the role of teachers, cordelistas, school librarians, inserted in the context of the school library, and other people who work with the practice of reading in schools, these have the role of mediators of reading.
